The Snuggery is the longtime home to WVU’s Palm Beach County Game Watches. The sports bar is owned by former Mountaineer wide receiver Bernie Kirchner (BS ’75).

The mid-priced eatery offers chicken, steak, seafood and great cheeseburgers along with cold brews and a full bar. It’s a place to unwind and have fun - four coin-operated pool tables, a pair of table shuffleboards and a digital jukebox give its clientele plenty of options for entertainment.

The Snuggery is opened from 11:00 AM to 3:00 AM Monday – Saturday, and opens at 12:00 noon on Sundays. It is located on PGA Boulevard between the Turnpike and I-95.

JT Thomas Foundation
 The JT Thomas Foundation is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization with a mission is to empower South Florida’s underprivileged youth through education, leadership, and safety through youth sports.
The Foundation is led by JT Thomas III, a two-time All-Big East linebacker (2007-2011) at West Virginia who spent seven years in the NFL with the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants. Thomas grew up in the shadows of downtown Ft. Lauderdale, playing his high school football at Blanche Ely High School.

JT received his master’s degree from the University of Miami School of Business, and currently is a South Florida entrepreneur.

To develop future leaders in this community, the JT Thomas Foundation’s programs and events cater to well-deserving student-athletes who show exceptional conduct in the classroom and a relentlessness on the field with a will to overcome adversity.


Programs include the annual JTTF College Tour, The Faith Scholarship and the JT3 Legends Youth Football Camp.

The JTTF College Tour offers South Florida high school student-athletes the opportunity to visit colleges, and have their skills evaluated in front of college coaches. The Tour is a collaboration between the JT Thomas Foundation and the Team Tate Family organization.


The Faith Scholarship provides need-based scholarships of up to $10,000 for graduating high school students to pursue higher education.


JT3’s Legends Youth Football Camp is free to kids 5-to-15 years-old at Joseph C. Carter Park in Fort Lauderdale and includes the fundamentals of safe play, and smart decision-making on and off the field. The camp is in its seventh year, and guests include JT3’s current and former NFL friends, community leaders, and top South Florida high-school student-athletes.
